Good morning! Here are 5 Things to Know for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018. 

1. Election results are live!

You can check out the live results on our Election Results page and learn more details about each race on our Elections 2018 live page. There are a couple races that are still not completely decided, but we will update both pages with those numbers and results as they come in. 

2. Colorado elected Democrat Jared Polis as governor 

Polis led Republican Walker Stapleton by 6 percentage points and more than 100,000 votes Tuesday evening. The five-term congressman from Boulder is the first openly-gay man elected governor of any U.S. state.

3. Jason Crow defeats Mike Coffman in 6th congressional district

Democrat Jason Crow pulled off a historic victory Tuesday evening over five-term incumbent Rep. Mike Coffman. Coffman has fended off strong challenges from other other Democrats for years. 

4. Chris Watts reaches plea deal and avoids the death penalty 

Chris Watts pleaded guilty Tuesday to killing his pregnant wife and two daughters in Frederick, Colo. in August in a deal. He pleaded guilty to all nine counts he was originally charged with in August. 

5. Cold front is on the way

Get ready for a cold few days! The next cold front is racing across the state and will bring cold and snow to our state. The highs won't reach past the 40s on Wednesday and upper 30s on Thursday. Here's your full forecast.
