Summer officially started this morning, but it's not going to feel or look like it.

In fact, we're expecting snow in the mountains this weekend! A winter weather advisory goes into effect tonight, with 4-10 inches of snow above 10,000 feet by Sunday morning. We'll even see some light snow as low as 9,000 feet. Crazy!

Another cold front will slide into Colorado today and that means more unsettled weather for the weekend.

The weekend will be quite cool for late June. Highs will only be in the upper 60s to low 70s both Saturday and Sunday with rain and thunderstorms likely. In the mountains, highs will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s with plenty of showers. Saturday night and early Sunday, the snow level will drop to around 9,000 feet over the northern and central mountains, with accumulating snow above 10,000 feet.

Good news: The weather pattern will shift a bit next week with warmer and drier conditions returning to Colorado! We should finally reach the 90-degree mark in Denver late next week!
