HARMONY, Colo. — Cleanup and recovery continues in Texas after Hurricane Harvey and in Colorado, volunteers continue to care for displaced animals.

Sixteen miniature horses are the latest transplants to the Centennial state after rescuers from the Denver Dumb Friends League confirmed they arrived safely.

The horses were part of a Houston SPCA neglect case in which 80 animals were seized. The horses will be housed at the Harmony Equine Center where they will continue to undergo rehab.

Colorado has also been involved with helping to rescue dogs and cats from shelters in Houston so shelters there can care for displaced animals.

MaxFund Dog Adoption Center volunteers brought back several dogs which they said they planned to put up for auction.

The horses aren't currently up for adoption.
