DRAKE, Colo. — Denver7 Gives viewers generously donated to the Wildfire Victims fund, in a massive effort to help people who lost everything.

Clint and Stacey Young's long-time home burned in the Cameron Peak Fire in October. On Monday, Denver7 Gives delivered a big surprise.

"We were voluntary evacuated on Labor Day weekend," said Clint Young. "We packed up a bunch of stuff. We just kept hauling until it was definitely here. It was just a big roar."

Now, they are determined to rebuild, and Denver7 Gives gets to help. We went on a shopping spree to replace some of the items they lost — from a grill, to kitchen appliances, to office supplies.

We delivered a car full of everything, including a pressure cooker, a vacuum, and hand-made blankets from a sewing circle out of Johnstown.

"We need these staying in the camper," said Stacey Young. "They'll keep us warm!"

As the Youngs rebuild, they also need building materials, so thanks to generous donations to the Denver7 Gives Wildfire Fund, we wrote them a check to pay for some of the supplies they have already bought to rebuild their garage.

"I was absolutely amazed that Denver7 Gives even asked me what I needed and what I wanted," said Stacey Young. "It just really shows you how good people are. It's truly amazing."

Denver7 features the stories of people who need help and now you can help them with a cash donation through Denver7 Gives. One hundred percent of contributions to the fund will be used to help people in our local community.
