Free, cheap things for Colorado families to do this summer

With a few weeks of summer left, many families in Colorado are looking for free and cheap things to do. Here are a few ideas to keep the kids entertained:

History Colorado Center

The History Colorado Center is hosting Kids Free Summeruntil September 2. Kids 18 and under get free admission. Parents still have to pay and there's a maximum of two free kids' admissions per paying adult.

Denver Art Museum

The Denver Art Museum offers free admissionto kids 18 and under year-round. The museum's website lists lots of fun activities for kids and families.

Planet Fitness

Planet Fitness is offering free admission this summer to kids ages 15 to 18. The offer ends September 1. Learn more here.

Bowling

Kids can bowl free each day during the summer. Learn more here.

Eastern Plains museums

12 museums on the Eastern Plains, including the Kit Carson Carousel and Museum, are offering free admission this summer.

Downtown Aquarium

If you've wanted to see the Downtown Aquarium, there is discounted admission available this summer. Visit Monday through Thursday, 3 .p.m. to close, before July 25th and get $14 tickets for adults, $8 tickets for kids. Learn more here.
