Flood advisory national weather service pueblo co 932 pm mdt thu sep 27 2012 bent co-prowers co- 932 pm mdt thu sep 27 2012 ...urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect for west central prowers and east central bent counties until 1130 pm mdt... at 927 pm mdt...national weather service doppler radar estimated rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch has fallen along the highway 50 corridor from hasty to lamar. although heavy rainfall has ended across the area...some weak showers will continue to produce some light rainfall amounts...generally under a tenth to a quarter of an inch through 1030 pm. runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor street flooding to continue. some locations that will experience flooding include...lamar...hasty...mcclave and wiley. at 830 enforcement reported urban flooding of roadways and low water crossings in and around the lamar area. this water is expected to continue receding through 1030 pm. precautionary/preparedness actions... excessive runoff from this storm will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams...urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. if flooding is observed...act quickly. do not enter the water. turn around and move up to higher ground. do not stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising. in hilly terrain...there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. find alternate routes. it only takes a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away. lat...lon 3818 10249 3798 10248 3800 10297 3818 10296
