DENVER, Colo. — Fire Danger is high Monday for the eastern half of Colorado and the Front Range, with a Red Flag Warning in effect from noon to 8pm.

Winds in Denver will increase Monday afternoon and wind gusts could reach 30-40 mph- higher gusts in the mountains. Highs will be slightly cooler, in the low to mid-70s over the metro-area.

Areas of smoke and haze will continue to impact portions of northern and eastern Colorado with areas downwind from the Cameron Peak Fire and the Mullen Fire particularly impacted. Air quality advisories are in place for the Front Range Friday as conditions are unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Skies will clear on Monday, with some gusty winds and highs around 70 degrees.

The week ahead will bring mainly dry days and more seasonal temperatures, in the 60s and 70s.
