DENVER — Skies have been partly cloudy in the Denver area while scattered snow showers linger in the mountains and foothills.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy and lows will be colder, dropping to the upper teens and low 20s across the Denver metro area. In the mountains, scattered snow showers will continue with lows in the teens.

Quiet weather settles in for Tuesday, with highs back in the low 40s in the Denver area and in the upper 20s to low 30s in the mountains.

The weather pattern will remain fairly quiet for the balance of the work week. A minor disturbance will spread some snow showers over the mountains Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday.

For Denver and the eastern plains, expect dry weather with highs in the 40s to low 50s Wednesday through Friday.

Over the weekend, another round of heavy snow is expected for the mountains. For Denver and the eastern plains, there will be a chance for snow by Saturday afternoon and a good chance for snow on Sunday.

Colder temperatures can be expected for all of Colorado into early next week.
