DENVER- For Sunday, highs were back in the 80s after our Saturday cool-down.

More hot and dry weather will return to Colorado this coming week.  Temperatures will climb back into the 90s through the 4th of July holiday and remain there for most of next week. The mountains will see highs in the 80s.

There will be a chance for late-day showers and scattered thunderstorms over the mountains and across the far eastern plains each day next week. The Denver metro-area will remain relatively dry, with just a slight chance for showers and storms on Thursday.

By next weekend temperatures will be back in the mid to upper 90s once again.
