DENVER — It's going to be gorgeous across the Denver metro area through the weekend. Temperatures for the Front Range will get even warmer, with plenty of melting on the side streets.

Expect mid to upper 50s and even some readings around 60 degrees this weekend. Some high clouds will conitnue to drift through Colorado.

A quick-moving storm system will pass across Colorado Saturday night and Sunday with 4-8 inches of snow for the mountains. Winter Weather Advisories will be in effect for Sunday for most of our resort towns until 6pm Sunday night. Travel may be slow at times in the mountains. We'll likely just see an increase in clouds across the plains with the warm weather sticking around for metro Denver.

It looks like our next snow maker for the plains will move in on Tuesday. We'll see cooler afternoon highs on Monday, with a chance of snow starting late Tuesday. Quite a bit colder and more February-like by the middle of next week.

The recent cold wave in the Midwest does not mean the our world is not experiencing global warming due to the increase in CO2. This is simply a regional cold event. The weather early next week will turn colder with snow likely in the mountains Monday through Tuesday. There will be a chance for snow in Denver late Tuesday and Wednesday.
