DENVER – It will be a spring-like in Colorado through Friday and then a bit cooler.

Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the 30s along the I-25 Corridor and teens to low 20s in the mountains.

Warm and dry weather can be expected again for Friday with highs in the 60s for lower elevations and in the upper 40s to low 50s in the mountains.  Some high clouds will drift over the state, but no precipitation is expected.

Slightly cooler weather will return to Colorado on Saturday with a few inches of snow in the mountains.  Denver and the plains will probably see just clouds on Saturday with temperatures cooling to the low 50s.

Mostly will be dry weather returning for Sunday, although the San Juan Mountains could still see some snow.  Highs will be near 50 degrees on Sunday in Denver with readings in the 40s in the mountains.

Dry weather appears on the horizon for early next week across Colorado, but there are some signs of a shift to a more stormy pattern later next week.  We sure could use the moisture, drought conditions are increasing over much of the state during this very dry winter.

Snow has been scarce this season with only seen 19.4" of snow at Denver International Airport - about half normal at this point in the season.

In the mountains, the snow-pack is roughly at 70% of normal for the season, with the southern mountain areas in the worst shape. The storms in late February did help, but the recent mild and quiet weather has lessened the snow-pack a bit in the past week.  Looking ahead - we could use several more good snowstorms!
