DENVER -- Yesterday's rain was great for our state, but we've seen some flash-flooding near the burn scars across southern Colorado. A flash flood watch will remain in effect near the 416 burn scar and the Spring fire burn scar over southern Colorado until Monday evening, with more storms expected this afternoon.

Highs for Monday made it to 90 degrees, and temperatures will be getting warmer this week. Isolated thunderstorms rolled through the eastern and southern suburbs of Denver  from Aurora to Parker Monday night.

More widespread storms and showers are possible tomorrow afternoon, with highs near 90 degrees. Some of these storms may be strong to severe, unless we have extensive cloud cover, the threat for strong thunderstorms will be a lot lower.  It will get quite a bit hotter by Wednesday, though, with temperatures in the upper 90s.  It will stay pretty hot through the coming weekend.
