DENVER — Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy this evening and overnight in Denver and across the northeast plains. A few showers will develop later tonight as a weak cold front pushes into Colorado from Wyoming. Temperatures will remain mild and pleasant through the evening, windy and cooler conditions will arrive toward morning.

It will be slightly cooler on Thursday with gusty north winds. Highs will be in the mid-to upper 60s in Denver, with low 70s across southeastern Colorado. In the mountains expect highs in the 50s to low 60s. Some scattered showers will develop in the afternoon - especially in the mountains.

Friday will start out dry and mostly sunny, but showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon, ahead of another minor cold front. Temperatures will be a little warmer in advance of the front with highs in the low to mid-70s.

The cold front will slip to the east of Colorado on Saturday with clearing skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop - mainly over the mountains. Temperatures in the high country will be in the 50s to low 60s.

Sunday will be a very pleasant day with sunshine in the morning and increasing clouds in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s in Denver and across the plains, with 60s in the mountains.

Looking ahead, a stronger cold front will move into Colorado on Monday. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will arrive Monday with much cooler temperatures. Highs will only be in the 50s in Denver with 30s in the mountains.

Tuesday will be even cooler with light rain and even some snow possible in Denver! Highs will only be in the 40s with low temperatures close to the freezing mark!

Cool and unsettled weather will continue on Wednesday with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 50s to low 60s.
