DENVER:  Our afternoon highs were in the mid to upper 80s with mostly sunny skies around Denver on Saturday. A disturbance has moved into the Rockies though, and that has created strong storms across the plains for the evening~ mostly from Burlington to Sterling. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the plains until 9pm tonight.

For western Colorado we still have high fire danger with a Red Flag Warning in effect from Craig to Grand Junction- Aspen and Salida to Durango and Alamosa.

Our better chance for strong storms in Denver and eastern Colorado will be on Sunday afternoon and evening. Thanks to a cold front passing through, our temperatures will drop out of the 80s into the 70s for Sunday.

We also have chances for storms on Monday with highs close to 80 for the afternoon. Our 90 degree highs return on Tuesday and stick around for all of next week.
