DENVER — The weather pattern has shifted back to mild and dry for most of this week. The main storm track has moved farther to the north of Colorado and will carry most of the rain and snow from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes for the next several days.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight with plenty of sunshine expected for Tuesday. Lows will be in the upper 20s to near 40 degrees for lower elevations and in the teens to middle 20s in the mountains.

Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s for Denver and the eastern plains with mid-40s and low 50s expected in the mountains.

Wednesday will be the warmest day, with highs the low to mid-70s in the Denver area.

Highs drop back to more November-like levels by the end of the week and weekend, with upper 40s to mid-50s expected. A cold front will arrive in Colorado Friday with scattered showers for Denver over the weekend.

This next system will likely bring 4 to 8 inches of snow for the mountains over the weekend.
