DENVER — The roads will become slippery later tonight as temperatures drop into the low 20s by morning. The Thursday morning commute will likely be slow and slick for Denver and the Front Range with icy spots and stretches and cold temperatures.

Highs on Thursday in Denver will be in the low to mid-30s. Snowfall will be light for the Denver metro area — likely just flurries off and on throughout the day. Some heavier snow can be expected in the mountains with several more inches expected.

Friday will start out cold with lows in the teens. Sunshine will boost temperatures back to 50 degrees in the afternoon.

Next weekend will be mild and dry with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

A couple of new storm systems will impact Colorado during the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Next Monday and Tuesday, Denver7 will once again host our Holiday Travel Hotline! We will have meteorologists in studio from 4 PM until 6:30 PM to provide free, custom weather forecasts for your holiday travel plans. Stay tuned for more details!
