DENVER —  Warm weather is sticking around for our holiday weekend! The record high for Denver for Saturday is 95 degrees, set in 1942 - we barely missed breaking it today at DIA with a high of 94 degrees.

Today will be the warmest day on our 7-day forecast, with highs in the mid 90s around Denver and around 100 degrees in Lamar, La Junta and Springfield.  In the mountains, readings were in the mid-70s to low 80s.

Sunday and Memorial Day will have a better chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.  The storms will be widely scattered across the plains on Sunday, with temperatures just a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

So far...conditions are looking great early Monday for the Bolder Boulder.  Expect mostly sunny skies in the morning, with 50s before sunrise, warming into the 60s by race time and mid 70s by late morning.

Thunderstorms will develop in the foothills by early afternoon and move across the I-25 Corridor onto the eastern plains by mid-afternoon.  Severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds will be possible on the plains Monday.

Tuesday will be another active weather day with afternoon thunderstorms likely - possibly severe.  Drier and warmer weather will return by the middle of next week.

Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!
