DENVER — Scattered thunderstorms will be ending overnight across eastern Colorado, but they will return Friday afternoon.

Skies will be mostly clear over the mountains and western valleys early Friday, while low clouds can be expected across the eastern plains. Lows will be in the 40s for lower elevations and 30s in the mountains.

The clouds will break up over eastern Colorado by late morning with some sunshine returning. In the mountains, scattered showers and thunderstorms will pop up by midday.

Highs on Friday will be in the 50s to mid-60s in the mountains and upper 60s to mid-70s for Denver and the eastern plains. Some severe thunderstorms will be possible over the I-25 Corrdior and the eastern plains with hail the main threat.

Saturday will also feature a good chance for showers and thunderstorms with similar temperatures expected.

Warmer and drier weather can be expected starting Sunday and continuing for early next week. High will soar well into the 80s Monday and Tuesday.

More showers and thunderstorms can be expected next Wednesday with cooler temperatures!
