Sunday, showers and storms will be more widespread and strong for the Denver metro. Another day of mostly to partly cloudy skies and late-day showers and storms is expected for the Front Range and plains. Highs in Denver will top out in the mid to upper 80s tomorrow. We are looking at the potential for very heavy rain, gusty winds, lightning, hail and tornadoes (for extreme NE CO). Storms will begin after about 2pm throughout the evening.

The atmosphere will gradually warm up and dry out into early next week. Temperatures will pop back into the low 90s and the rain chances will drop a bit. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s and low 90s through the majority of next week.
