DENVER — It will be cloudy and cooler to start the week, with highs in the 40s this afternoon.
A fast-moving system will bring widespread light snowfall to the mountains and showers over the plains Monday. On average, around 1-4 inches of accumulating snow is expected at the valley level of our northern and central high country towns.
In Denver and across the plains, expect scattered rain/snow showers. Little to no snow accumulation is expected across the metro area. The chance for showers lingers through midnight Monday.
Skies clear Tuesday and highs return to near 50 degrees.
Another similar weather disturbance from the northwest will again bring light mountain snow and shower activity over eastern Colorado on Wednesday. Highs in Denver will be in the low 40s.
Dry and warmer weather is expected through the end of the week. As of now, this weekend looks mostly sunny and very mild, with highs near 60 degrees!
