DENVER — Rain and snow showers continue over the mountains and western valleys of Colorado, while it will stay chilly and cloudy across the plains.

Temperatures will be about 15 degrees below normal for this time of May. Highs will be in the middle 50s in the Denver area — better than recent days, but still 10-15 degrees colder than normal. We'll see a little sunshine this morning, with a few more clouds this afternoon.

Finally, on Saturday, skies are expected to clear, with temperatures returning to around 60 degrees. We will see plenty of sunshine to start the day but there is a 10% chance of storms later in the day.

Sunday and Monday will be dry and warmer with highs in the 70s! Highs will reach 80 degrees next Tuesday.

The next chance for thunderstorms will arrive late Wednesday or Thursday.
