DENVER — Sunny skies for Denver continue for the beginning of the week after highs in the 70s on Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday will be warm with highs in the 70s in Denver & eastern Colorado and 50s in the mountains.

Another storm system may bring some rain and snow to western Colorado Tuesday afternoon.

This storm will have the potential for heavy mountain snow Tuesday night and Wednesday, especially along and north of I-70.

In Denver and across northeastern Colorado, rain will develop on Wednesday and change to snow in the afternoon. Temperatures will turn much colder on Wednesday with highs only in the 40s. There is a chance for several inches of wet, heavy snow Wednesday evening through early Thursday.
