DENVER — Our weekend weather will be affected by a series of fast moving cold fronts over the next several days. These fronts will race across Colorado from the Pacific Northwest and bring periods of snow to the northern and central mountains and a few showers for Denver and the eastern plains.

Friday was dry and mild across Colorado with highs in the middle 60s in Denver and in the 40s to low 50s in the mountains.

The weekend will bring another front into the state with a chance for rain and snow showers in Denver, while four to eight inches of snow will be likely in the mountains. We could locally see around six to 12 inches over the higher mountain passes.

Highs on Saturday will be cooler in the upper 40s to low 50s for lower elevations and 30s in the high country with a gusty northwest wind.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, but dry in between these fast moving fronts. For Denver, it will be a good day for the Broncos to get back on the winning track at Mile High! Temperatures will be in the mid 50s on the plains and 40s in the high country.

Another cold front will move across Colorado on Sunday night and Monday with some showers possible in Denver and another 6 to 12 inches of snow for the mountains.

Tuesday will be dry and quiet, followed by more rain and snow chances with another fast moving cold front on Wednesday.
