The weather on Tuesday will be warm and dry with high clouds and temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Clouds will increase on Wednesday as a storm system develops across the southwestern United States. This storm will bring some very welcome moisture to the central and southwestern mountain areas - good news as those areas have been quite dry.

Snow should develop in the mountains on Wednesday morning and rain showers will spread into the Denver area on Wednesday afternoon. The rain showers will mix with snow in Denver and along the I-25 Corridor Wednesday evening.

The roads will likely be wet for the Wednesday night commute and then the rain will switch over to snow by early Thursday. The Thursday morning commute will likely be the worst for Denver and the Front Range with a few inches of snow and much colder temperatures.

Much heavier snow is expected in the central and southwest mountains with 1 to 2 feet possible in the San Juan Mountains!

Highs on Thursday will be much colder, in the low to mid-30s. Snowfall will not be excessive for the Denver area - likely in the 2 to 4 inch range.

Friday will start out cold with lows in the teens. Sunshine will boost temperatures back to 50 degrees in the afternoon.

Next weekend will be mild and dry with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

A new storm system will approach Colorado during the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
