DENVER —First Alert Action Day: More storms expected on Saturday for the afternoon and evening.

MORE: Live radar

The strongest storms were across the plains for the afternoon. There were multiple tornado reports for the plains. Those storms, however, are moving out of the state tonight. We will have partly cloudy skies in Denver overnight with lows in the upper 50s.

The weekend will be stormy again, especially on Saturday. Expect more afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s both Saturday and Sunday in Denver, with upper 70s to low 80s in the mountains.

Next week should turn drier and warmer as this soggy pattern moves away from Colorado.

Monday will still offer a good chance for thunderstorms, but we're expecting plenty of sunshine on Tuesday and highs back in the 90s by Wednesday and Thursday.
