DENVER — The big story will be the extremely cold temps on Sunday. High temps will only reach the lower teens with the wind chill factor making it feel below zero.
Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for the mountains through Monday morning. Snowfall is expected to exceed two feet in the northern and central mountains over the weekend as a series of storm systems pour in from the West Coast.
Cold conditions will continue into early Monday with lows falling to near zero in Denver early. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for metro Denver for Monday morning with wind chill factors again expected between -15 to -20 during your morning comute. The stormy weather will move out and skies will return to sunny or partly cloudy. Highs on Monday will only be in the low 20s.
A moderation in temperatures will return through the week. Highs will be in the upper 30s under a partly cloudy sky on Tuesday. Then, highs will rebound to the 40s by Wednesday, and low 50s on Thursday and Friday.
