DENVER — Skies are clear over Colorado with unseasonably warm weather expected through Wednesday. By Thursday, a cold front will move into the state and bring colder weather and snow for the end of the week.
The clear skies and dry air mean that nighttime temperatures will be chilly. Lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s for Denver and the eastern plains, but the high mountain valleys will be much colder - lows in the single digits.
Bright sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday will warm conditions nicely. Expects highs in the Denver area to be in the low to mid-60s both days.
In the mountains, temperatures will climb to the 40s to low 50s. Winds stay calm light and the weather dry through Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday, the cold front is expected to impact the state, bringing the chance for snow and colder temperatures. The upcoming storm is not expected to be a major system, but could drop a couple inches of snow over the metro area and 4 to 8 inches in the mountains.
