DENVER — A cold front is bringing snow to the mountains and very windy conditions to the plains this Sunday.

4-8 inches of snow are likely for our northern and central mountains. Highs will be in the 20s and 30s. Please be careful driving in the high country. Blowing snow and slick roads are a possibility, especially over mountain passes.

The Denver area will continue to see cooler temperatures, with highs in the 40s to low 50s, along with very gusty winds. The strong winds will raise fire danger across the eastern plains with gusts of 25 to 40 mph possible.
