DENVER — A quiet Sunday for Denver, and we are expecting similar weather for Monday as well.

Avalanche danger remains a concern in the mountains. The recent heavy snow and strong winds in the high country have created extreme avalanche conditions over most of our mountains in Colorado. Avoid any back country travel. Avalanche mitigation work will continue the next few days.

Dry weather continues through tonight across the Front Range. Overnight lows for the next few nights will be in the 20s for Denver.

Mild weather will remain for Monday, with highs in the 50s to start the week! A strong storm will show up from Tuesday through Thursday that could bring heavy snow to the mountains again. We also have very good chance for a significant snow here for the plains and the Denver metro area. Stay tuned!
