Skies were mostly sunny statewide today, with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s on the plains, and upper 30s to low 40s in the mountains.

Tonight, lows cool to the 20s in Denver under a mainly clear sky.

Sunday, for St. Patrick's Day, temperatures will top out in the low 50s across the metro-area. Skies stay mostly sunny through tomorrow across the state. If you're skiing or snowboarding, avalanche danger is still a concern with the recent heavy snow in the mountains. Back country travel is not recommended.

A minor storm will bring a chance for a few inches of snow to the mountains next Tuesday, but just clouds for Denver and the eastern plains.

Spring officially begins on Wednesday of next week, and temperatures will feel a little more Spring-like, in the upper 50s.
