More wet weather on the way

DENVER — Wet and cool weather will continue across much of Colorado for another 24 hours. More snow will fall in the mountains with another 3 to 6 inches possible above 10,000 feet.

The rain and snow showers will continue across the Denver area and the roads will be wet again for the morning commute. Expect roads to be slushy in the mountains and foothills as snow showers move through on Wednesday.

Temperatures will be cold overnight with lows in the low 30s in the Denver area and mid-to upper 20s in the mountains.

Cool and unsettled weather will continue on Wednesday with a good chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. More snow will fall in the mountains with another 2 to 4 inches possible above 10,000 feet.

The weather will improve for the end of the week with 60s returning Thursday and Friday along with more sunshine.

Temperatures will reach the low 70s on Saturday with dry weather expected. Sunday will be in the upper 60s with a few afternoon thunderstorms.

Monday will be windy and warmer with highs in the middle 70s. Another round of thunderstorms will arrive Tuesday afternoon and again on Wednesday.
