DENVER — After a record-tying high on Sunday, today will be a bit cooler. Temperatures will drop about 10 degrees, with highs in the upper 80s this afternoon.
We'll also see a few building clouds this afternoon, with the slight chance for a few thunderstorms into early evening. The risk of severe weather on our eastern plains is low.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see a slightly better chance for afternoon thunderstorms, with highs back in the low 90s to mid 90s.
By Thursday and Friday we're back to the middle 90s with more dry weather expected.
So far, there have been 50 days of 90-degree-plus heat in Denver - placing 2020 in the top 20 list of most 90-degree days in Denver.
