Thunderstorms will end overnight, but will redevelop again Friday afternoon. Skies will not completely clear overnight, but will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the state.

Temperatures will be in the 50s and low 60s for the morning drive so roll down the window and enjoy the cooler weather.

Skies will be partly cloudy through midday, with building storms by 2 p.m. Storms will develop in the afternoon with a risk of severe storms across northeastern Colorado and these could produce large hail, heavy rain and gusty winds.

Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s by early afternoon and then will cool with the passing storms. Overnight lows in the 50s tonight.

Warmer and drier weather will settle in for the weekend. We'll see more afternoon sunshine, with fewer storms on Friday. It gets hot again for the weekend. Highs in the low to upper 90s on Saturday and Sunday.

A cooler and more peaceful weather pattern will arrive next week with highs around 80 degrees by Wednesday - an early taste of Fall!
