DENVER, Colo. — The warm and dry weather pattern will continue across Colorado. Temperatures will be about 10 to 15 degrees above normal through Saturday. Cooler weather and some precipitation will arrive Sunday and Monday.

Areas of smoke and haze will continue to impact portions of northern and east Colorado, areas downwind from the Cameron Peak Fire and the Mullen Fire are particularly impacted. Air quality advisories are in place for the Front Range as conditions are unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Skies will stay mostly cloud-free through Saturday as a dry and quiet weather pattern holds over the Rocky Mountain region. Nighttime lows will dip to the middle 20s to low 30s in the mountains and upper 30s to mid 40s for lower elevations.

Highs will stay in the 80s for the Denver area with record heat possible on Thursday - the existing mark for October 8th is 85 degrees, set in 1910.

Fall color remains spectacular across the Colorado high country. With mild, dry and quiet weather - it is ideal for checking out the lovely leaves! Northern areas are now past peak, but still worth a look. Central and southern Colorado are very colorful.

By Sunday afternoon, a cold front will be moving into Colorado and will bring wind, cooler temperatures and some precipitation Sunday night and Monday. At this time, the storm will probably bring snow to elevations above 8,000 feet and rain to lower elevations.

Skies will clear on Tuesday with highs around 70 degrees.
