DENVER — Denver had a mild day on Tuesday with highs the upper 40s to middle 50s. Western and southern suburbs even climbed to around 60 degrees!
Gusty west winds whipped through the mountains and foothills, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph. The winds will stay gusty over the foothills and western suburbs tonight.
Skies will be mostly clear across Colorado tonight with lows in the teens in the mountains and middle 20s to low 30s on the plains
Wednesday should be mild and dry over most of Colorado, but clouds will increase from the west as a weak storm system begins to move into the state late in the day. Some scattered snow showers will develop in the southwestern mountains in the afternoon.
There will be a chance of light snow in Denver Wednesday night and Thursday. Amounts will be an inch or so, but the early morning timing may cause a few issues on the roads. The northern mountains will receive 3 to 6 inches of snow Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The central and southern mountains will see 6 to 10 inches of snow.
Mild and dry weather will return for Friday and Saturday, highs will be in the 40s on Friday with readings in the mid-to upper 50s on Saturday
Another weak storm system will be a chance for light snow on Sunday. Highs will drop back into the lower 40s. Skies will clear on Monday, but temperatures will be chilly - in the 30s.
