DENVER — Autumn has officially begun! Our highs were in the upper 80s on Sunday~ only 2 degrees from tying the record afternoom high for the day.

The aspens are really pretty in the northern and central mountains! It is a nice time to get up to the high country and enjoy the annual display of aspen gold, especially in areas along and north of I-70. Southern mountain areas will be reaching peak color in another seven to 10 days.

Late tonight, into early tomorrow, a cold front will push into the state with showers likely on Monday and maybe a little snow for the mountains! Highs will be in the mid-70s on Monday.

Skies clear for Tuesday, but temperatures will be much cooler- only in the 60s in Denver with 40s to low 50s in the high country.

Mild and dry weather will return for the middle of next week, with highs near seasonal normals, in the mid-70s.
