DENVER — Gorgeous weather to end the weekend, but now the changes begin!

More widespread shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to develop later this evening for the Front Range and the eastern plains.

A strong cold front will move into Colorado on Monday. Rain and much colder weather will arrive with that cold front- with temperatures only in the 30s in Denver metro-area and 20s and 30s in the mountains.

Tuesday will stay chilly with light rain and even some wet, heavy snow possible in Denver. Highs will stay only in the 40s with low temperatures close to the freezing mark.

Cool and unsettled weather will continue on Wednesday with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 50s to low 60s. The end of the week looks milder and dry, with 60s and 70s returning to the Front Range.
