DENVER — Ready for another storm? We'll see just another day of mild weather before another winter storm hits the state.
Highs will be in the low 70s under a mostly sunny sky across the Denver metro area Saturday, with sunshine and 40s to 50s in the mountains.
Another fast-moving storm will bring cold and snow to the state Saturday night and Sunday. Expect sharply colder temperatures on Sunday with highs only around 30 degrees in Denver. Early estimates show 3 to 6 inches of snow for the Denver area with 8 to 12 inches in the mountains.
Monday morning will be very cold with snow on the highways — plan on a long, slow commute!
This next storm will not exit the state quickly. Cold and periods of snow will linger through the middle of next week. Low temperatures Monday and Wednesday morning will be in the single digits or low teens - near record cold levels.
Hopefully the freeze will ease by Halloween!
