DENVER — After highs in the 50s and 60s on Tuesday, even warmer air will be moving into Denver for Wednesday.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week.  We're expecting highs in the upper 60s to low 70s across the Metro Area tomorrow.  We'll be in the 60s on Thursday as a storm system rolls into the state.  It will bring scattered rain and snow showers to the mountains Wednesday night and we could see a few showers and storms across the plains in the evening on Thursday and into early Friday!

Cooler air will settle in on Friday.  We'll see 50s on Friday and low 60s on Saturday!

What we really need is a good snow storm!  Snow has been scarce this season with only seen 19.6" of snow at Denver International Airport — about half normal at this point in the season.

In the mountains, the snow-pack is roughly at 70 percent of normal for the season, with the southern mountain areas in the worst shape. The storms in late February did help, but the recent mild and quiet weather has lessened the snow-pack a bit in the past week.  Looking ahead — we could use several more good snowstorms!

There are some signs of a change in the weather pattern around the middle of the month with a better chance for heavier snow around St. Patrick's Day.
