DENVER – If you were making your way to the mountains Friday evening, you more than likely experienced some big delays on Interstate 70.
That’s because a crash involving a crane truck closed all westbound lanes of I-70 west of the Eisenhower Tunnel, according to both the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Department of Transportation.
All westbound traffic on I-70 were diverted over Loveland Pass, according to CSP Eagle officials, who said there was no estimated time for the reopening of the westbound lanes.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m.
A CDOT official tweeted there was an extended closure from mile marker 208 to mile marker 216 because of this crash.
