3:45 p.m.: The Adams County Fire Department is reporting they have responded to 11 vehicle accidents since 9:30 a.m. They advise residents to avoid driving if possible.

2:48 p.m.: Eastbound I-70 at Lookout Mountain has re-opened, per the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Delays could remain in the area for some time.

2:25 p.m.: A crash has been reported on northbound I-25 at Castle Pines Parkway, mile marker 183. The left lanes are closed, CDOT says.

2:21 p.m.: The eastbound lanes of I-70 is closed near Lookout Mountain due to this jackknifed semi. There's no estimated time for reopening of the highway.

11:45 a.m.: The City of Thornton is on accident alert, meaning that if you're involved in an accident and no one is injured, police ask that you do not call for a police officer. Exchange information with the other driver, report it to your insurance company and wait to file the police report until later.
