GOLDEN, Colo.— This summer our Denver7 Sports Anchor Alison Mastrangelo caught up with professional climber and filmmaker Cedar Wright from Boulder. His climbing resume is beyond impressive. He’s climbed El Capitan free in a day. He’s found difficult new alpine rock routes in places like Pakistan and Alaska. And if that isn’t enough, a few years ago he took up paragliding. He’s also getting ready to compete the US Open of Paragliding in Chelan Washington July 8th-14th. He also wants to continue to push the limits in this sport. He’s already flown a hundred miles paragliding and he’s hoping to do 200 eventually.
Also, if you are interested in trying paragliding out for yourself there plenty of professional pilots that can take you up. You can find some of them at Paraglide Tandem LLC.
Watch the story above to see how he’s trying to advance his flying skills and push the limits in this sport.
