BOULDER, Colo. – Monday was the 40th running of the BolderBOULDER , and was one of the biggest years in the race’s history.
The 10K run has been named among the country’s best and is the third-largest 10K in the United States.
Tyler McCandless won the men’s citizen’s race; Melissa Dock took home the top spot in the women’s citizen’s race; and Amanda McGrory and Aaron Pike took home first-place in the push-rim wheelchair races.

More than 50,000 runners and 100,000 spectators participated in Monday’s race, a yearly Memorial Day tradition.
There are new rules this year regarding bags : people entering the stadium will only be allowed to bring one clear bag no larger than 12 inches x 6 inches by 12 inches.
Runners kicked off the race at 6:55 a.m. Denver7 will stream the beginning of the race and the finish line for those who want to see themselves cross!
