Denver Nuggets reveal new logo, uniform colors during NBA Finals

DENVER – Long gone will be the days when the Denver Nuggets will be recognized by big, bold yellow letters sitting beneath a snow-covered blue mountain.

That’s because the Nuggets revealed an evolved identity Wednesday evening during the NBA Finals; a look the team says captures the evolution of both the City of Denver and the team as a whole.

The revelation came during the halftime break of Game 3 between the Cavs. and the Warriors. At a party held at the Dairy Block in downtown Denver, the Nuggets revealed a new logo for the team, a new color palette and three updated uniforms.

“The Denver Nuggets have always welcomed change and are continually looking for ways to innovate as shown by our evolution from the ABA’s Denver Rockets, to Maxie the Miner, the iconic Rainbow Skyline, and on to the Mountain Peak and Pickaxe,” said Josh Kroenke, Vice Chairman of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.

Merchandise with the new logo and other brand new Nuggets apparel will be available for fans starting Thursday.
