Broncos fans have traditions that go days before Sunday’s big AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots.

Take the Lenings.

They parked their RV at Mile High Stadium on Friday afternoon to ensure a spot in their favorite lot to tailgate before the game.

“This is the biggest game of the year,” said Sean Lening, who drove with his parents from Lamar to catch the game.

The season ticket holders made sure to honor their pre-game superstition and reenact everything they did prior to the Bronco’s last AFC championship win in 2014 against the New England Patriots.

“We figured if we did the same things again, it’s going to be good news for tomorrow morning,” said Lening.

Other families were not so fortunate at getting tickets to the game.

The Mendez family traveled from Colorado Springs to catch the best preview they could get; their first trip to Mile High Stadium a day ahead of time.

“We’re excited to be here and see what all the buzz is all about,” said Oscar Mendez.

He’ll catch the game by himself; it’s a part of his own game-day superstition.

“I’m very superstitious of who I watch it with,” he said.
