The Denver Broncos will have their three Hall of Fame finalists back on the field Sunday as honorary captains for the game.

Alumni Terrell Davis, Steve Atwater and John Lynch will join the Broncos' and Patriots' team captains for the coin toss of Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

"That's awesome," Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said. "I played with one of them, coached the other ones. They're great players, great Broncos, great players in this league, great people. So, it'll be a great day all around and having them with us to start, that'll be pretty cool."

The three Broncos are among the 15 players being considered for the Hall of Fame's 2016 class. The final announcement is expected Feb. 6.

The New England Patriots have chosen Ty Law as their honorary captain.

"Law has been a part of so many big playoff moments for our franchise over the years," Patriots owner Robert Kraft said, "and I am so glad he can join us once again for Sunday's AFC championship game in Denver."

Also at the game Sunday, singer-songwriter Andy Grammer will sing the National Anthem and two F/A-18 Super Hornets from "the Vampires of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine," from  Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, Calif. will perform a fly-over.
