ENGLEWOOD -- One.

That is how many players will be on the Broncos' gameday roster Monday from the Super Bowl 50 team. And he's not going anywhere. Kicker Brandon McManus agreed to a four-year contract extension Friday for $17.2 million with $9.5 million guaranteed.

McManus showed no signs of slowing in training camp, delivering booming kicks, while working part-time as a referee during drills. He has long earned the respect of his teammates with his clutch performances and has been a team captain. Per the Broncos, McManus has converted an NFL-best 103 of 106 kicks under 50 yards the past two seasons when combining field goals and extra points.

McManus also regained his groove from distance last year, drilling four of seven from 50 yards or more after posting a 5-for-13 mark in the previous two seasons. McManus, who took time from his good news to congratulate the Nuggets on their Game 5 win over the Clippers, will forever be remembered for his 2015 playoff excellence. With the offense slumping at various times as Peyton Manning pushed to the finish line, McManus nailed all ten of his field goals and three extra points.

President Obama even cracked a joke at Manning's expense about McManus' value to the offense during the team's celebratory White House visit. Von Miller and McManus are the only two players who remain from that championship team, and Miller is sidelined indefinitely after undergoing surgery on a dislocated ankle tendon Friday.

Footnotes
Receiver Courtland Sutton did not practice Friday after spraining the AC joint in his right shoulder Thursday. The coaches praised his toughness, but he is racing the clock to be available for Monday night against the Titans. The issue is this: Will he be able to raise his arm above his head to catch a pass? Players with sprained AC joints typically wear a harness to restrict movement which is not as practical for a receiver. Sutton could be a game time decision. ...

Bradley Chubb (left knee) was upgraded to a full participant on the injury report, the latest indication that he can make an impact Monday even if on a limited play count.
