The Avs are hosting free watch parties for Round 1 of the playoffs this week

DENVER – A sports team is nothing without its fans, which is why the Colorado Avalanche wants you to cheer them on as they take on the Nashville Predators for Round 1 of the playoffs this week.

The Avs will host two fan watch parties at Pepsi Center, one on Thursday, April 12 and one on Saturday, April 14 – the dates for Game 1 and Game 2 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, with the puck dropping at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, doors will open at noon with the game starting at 1 p.m.

The watch party isn’t the only thing that’s free – fan parking is also free of charge. All concessions will are also 25 percent off, so more good news!

Entry to the watch parties will be through the Grand Atrium on the west side of the arena.
