DENVER — One local company that is doing well during the pandemic has decided to do good as well.

Denver Tent is now raising money to help area restaurants buy custom tents at a discounted rate.

“There’s a lot of restaurants that are struggling, businesses that are struggling, and we want to do our part,” Kevin Womer of Denver Tent told Denver7.

The company makes custom tents literally from the ground up. They began the pandemic by making personal protective equipment, mainly masks, and have since seen an increase in tent demand.

“I’d say we’re 20-25% busier this year than last year and it’s all because of the pandemic,” Womer said.

As more restaurants look to expand seating outside, and the looming winter months ahead, Womer says he’s been getting more and more calls. That’s what inspired him to try to help.

“Give them the opportunity for additional capacities so they can bring in more revenue,” he said.

Denver Tent set up a GoFundMe to raise the money to help restaurants purchase tents. It can be found here.
