US Company Starts Up A New Search For MH370

A U.S. company is starting up a new search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 almost four years after it vanished.

Malaysia's government said Saturday it had approved a bid to resume the search. Ocean Infinity, a company that explores the ocean floor, dispatched a search vessel Tuesday.

In 2014, MH370 was heading from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing when the plane and the 239 people on board disappeared somewhere over the Indian Ocean.

Crews from Malaysia, Australia and China searched for the plane for nearly three years without success. The search was suspended in January 2017.

Ocean Infinity is reportedly working on a "no cure, no fee" basis, which means the company won't get paid unless it finds MH370.

An official with Malaysia's government emphasized he doesn't want to give "too much hope" to the families of those lost.
